The Directors of Capricorn Venture Partners are:

Prof Philippe Haspeslagh Chairman, representing Euro Invest Management NV

Philippe Haspeslagh is Professor at INSEAD, the international business school with campuses in Fontainebleau and Singapore, where he holds the Paul Desmarais Chair in Partnership and Active Ownership. He is also a Professor at the Vlerick Leuven Ghent Management School. He previously taught as a Visiting Faculty member at the Harvard Business School and the Stanford Business School, and was a Chief of Cabinet for the Belgian Minister of Agriculture and Small and Medium Enterprises. His research is in the areas of Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate Strategy, Managing for Value and Corporate Governance. Philippe Haspeslagh is the Academic Director of the Conference Board's European Council on Corporate Strategy, as well as the Director of the ABN-AMRO Research Initiative in Managing for Value at INSEAD. He is the chairman of the boards of multiple companies. He is also a non-executive partner in Procuritas, a Scandinavian buy-out firm.

Gerard Van Acker Director, representing Gerard Van Acker BVBA

Gerard was formerly President & CEO and President of the Executive Committee of GIMV, Belgium's leading private equity house with a presence in a number of European countries. He has held director positions in a number of leading Belgian companies including Barco, Telenet, PGS International and in environmental companies as VMH, Aquafin and Vlar. After leaving GIMV, he became member of several boards of directors (Besix Group, Kinepolis, Carestel, L&C, ABO group a.o.). He holds a Doctor's degree in Law and a Master's degree in Political and Administrative Sciences and has taken up important functions within governmental organisations.

Prof Michael Hay Director 

Michael Hay is Professor of Management Practice in Entrepreneurship at London Business School. He joined the Faculty in 1987 having spent 10 years in academic publishing principally with Blackwell Publishers and Marston Book Services. He is a founder director of the venture capital backed company, Imparta Limited. He is author of a number of articles and books, including The Strategy Handbook, with Peter Williamson; Investing for the Future: New Firm Funding in Germany, Japan, the UK and USA with Steven Abbott and The Venture Capital Handbook with Bill Bygrave and Jos Peeters. He is co-director of the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor which examines the level, nature and impact of entrepreneurial activity in more than 40 countries around the world. He is Chairman of the Board of the Centre for Scientific Enterprise, a major collaborative programme between London Business School and University College London geared to providing world class.

Dr Jos B. Peeters, Managing Partner
