The Directors of Capricorn Venture Partners are:
Prof Philippe Haspeslagh - Chairman, representing Euro Invest Management NV
Philippe Haspeslagh is Dean of the Vlerick Leuven Ghent Management School. He is on leave from INSEAD where he holds the Paul Desmarais Chair in Partnership and Active Ownership. He previously taught as a Visiting Faculty member at the Harvard Business School and the Stanford Business School, and was a Chief of Cabinet for the Belgian Minister of Agriculture and Small and Medium Enterprises. His main research interests have been in the areas of Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate Strategy, Managing for Value and Corporate Governance. Philippe Haspeslagh has been an advisor to the top management of many companies and is currently Chairman of Dujardin Foods, a family business in frozen foods, of Capricorn Venture Partners and of Quest Management. He is also a non-executive partner in Procuritas, a Scandinavian buy-out firm, a Board member of Governance for Owners, an active ownership fund of Vandemoortele, a large private food firm, and an investment committee member of NPM Capital.

Gerard Van Acker - Director, representing Gerard Van Acker BVBA
Gerard is member (or chairman) of the board of directors of several (non-) listed companies since 2001. From 1980 to 2000 he was CEO and President of the Executive Committee of GIMV, Belgium's leading private equity house with a presence in a number of European countries. He has held director positions in a number of leading Belgian companies including Barco, Telenet, Besix Group, Kinepolis Group and Carestel. In the Life Science sector, he was one of the founders and vice chairman of PGS International, chairman of Biotech Fonds Vlaanderen and member of the board of directors of two US companies, Corvas Int'L and Ceres. He is still member of the board of two research institutes, VIB (Flanders institute of Biotechnology) and Imec. He holds a Doctor's degree in Law and a Master's degree in Political and Administrative Sciences and has taken up important functions within governmental organisations.
Prof Michael Hay - Director
Michael Hay is Professor of Management Practice at London Business School. He was Deputy Dean and Secretary of the School for five years until December 2006 and Acting Dean of CIDA City Campus in Johannesburg in 2007. He joined the London Business School faculty in 1987 and has held a range of posts including: Director of the Foundation for Entrepreneurial Management, Associate Dean of the Sloan Masters Programme and Dean of Executive Education. Michael Hay is co-founder of the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor, which examines the nature and impact of entrepreneurial activity in more than 40 countries around the world, and Chairman of the Board of the Centre for Scientific Enterprise, a major collaborative programme between London Business School and University College London. He has undertaken assignments for many international companies including British Airways, 3M, United Business Media and Roche, both in Europe and the US. Prof. Hay is a founder director of Imparta Ltd, chairman of CIDA Foundation UK and a member of the Advisory Board of the African Association of Business Schools. He is also the author of numerous books and articles in the areas of entrepreneurship and venture capital.
