Punch Powertrain expands capacity in Belgium and China
Sint-Truiden, Belgium: 15 July 2011 - The capacity of the factory of Punch Powertrain in Sint-Truiden, Belgium has been increased to 240,000 core component parts in order to satisfy the demand of the coming years. Cor van Otterloo, CEO clarifies: "In total around 8.2 million euros in Sint-Truiden has been invested, primarily in new CNC machines, but also in our own test track which runs around the site. Also on the site in China, where the core components that have been developed in Sint-Truiden are assembled, a second product line has recently been added. Now there is the capacity to manufacture 350,000 transmissions per year."
